there's been a lot that has happened since this thread was last bumped. but for the fedor fans i have to share this recent fedor interview

- Your promoter, Vadim, said that your next fight will be in summer. Can you say something more certain about it?
- I can say that it will be June or July. But we don't know where it will take place.
- Where do you want to fight? In Russian, Japan or USA?
- Of course I would like to fight at home, for my compatriots. But right now, the most powerful and authoritative organization is located in USA. It's UFC. And to compete against best athletes I have to go to USA.
- One of the most intriguing matches might be your fight against Josh Barnett. Would like to fight him?
- Vadim has negotiations about it. It depends on him. I think the situation will become clear in a near future. About Barnett, that was the third time when our fight was cancelled (in 2009). To be fair I don't want to fight against him. We are friends for a long time. Possibly, he is the only fighter that I don't want to meet in a ring.
- There will be fight between Overeem and Dos Santos in Las Vegas. Do you think they are the best in the world right now?
- Yes, I think they are the some of the best in the world right now.
- Some time ago there was a talk about possible fight between you and Cain Velasquez. What can you say about it?
- We have no agreement right now. To this moment relationship with UFC is uncertain. Maybe, in a near future it will become more clear.
- Cain Velasquez says that you are the best heavyweight of all time. Can you name other fighters that contributed the most to the sport of MMA?
- It's interesting to watch Top5 UFC fighters. About contribution to sport? It will be Barnett, Mirko Filipovic, Nogueira brothers, Randy Couture.
 
Wasn't able to catch his last fight but glad to see that Ben won.....The new MMA news show that is on SPIKE has Craig Carton as the host.He was a host on a somewhat local radio talk show that used to be in this area...He was a pretty entertaining host and he had seemingly disapeared for a while so it's good to see him score such a gig with Spike.
 
i honestly have not watched spike since the ufc left

i've flipped by it but haven't watched a single show since it all ended. i think they still own some footage so what they'll do is air ufc reruns on the same night of an FX or Fox or Fuel UFC show. lol
 
I caught the show last Thursday for the first time and was shocked to see who the host was,now I will try to make it a point to watch it....the guy was a riot when he was on the radio.......I thought I read somewhere that Spike would more or less be picking up Bellator to fill in for UFC.

Glad to hear from Fedor, but I just don't know how he's going to compete in the UFC now. Maybe he has changed something, but probably not.

Rousey FTW! I was so pissed when I got home and it didn't record. I was gone for the weekend, so I couldn't watch it live. I did watch the UFC though. McCall was so close to finishing Mighty Mouse. I'm so glad it turned out to be a draw instead of a split decision. I thought McCall won, but maybe I'm being biased. I just wish they wouldn't have messed up and did the sudden death round because McCall really had Johnson reeling and was so close to finishing him. If they based it on the whole fight and trying to finish I think he would have definitely won.

Can't f'in wait for Alvarez/Aoki II!

btw, ufc 146 is looking saWEEET!!! so stacked man, can't wait

and about fedor, if it had not been for Vadim and M-1, we would've already seen him in the UFC. but unfortunately it is about 5 years too late. i think he would be a dangerous fight for anyone at hw and he matches up very well with most of the ufc hw's but there are also some bad matchups for him also. i'd love to see fedor vs mir, struve, kongo to see where he's at. i think cain would be a bad matchup for him. still would love to see him fight overeem.
 
I cannot wait for this fight man. This is the most anticipated fight in the world atm

Still can't get over how Reem made Lesnar look like a jobber in their match,great clip though and can't wait for the fight.
