He's given me more amazing fights than I could ask for. Win, lose or draw, I'll always be a Wandy fan. No ship jumping here.
I sure wish it was Overeem facing JDS instead of Hunto.
I get this horrible feeling that this fight is going to be real bad for Mark with JDS hand speed and the hunger back in his eyes.
Not to mention that he is back with his less than modelesque wife, which would make me madder than you know what! JDS is going to smash Marks face due to him being more handsome that JDS's wife!
Violent for sure. I envision something similar to Mark's legendary show of a granite chin in his non-WGP fights in K-1 against Jerome LeBanner. I think that the glove size combined with JDS Hand speed will likely match the brutal beating that LaBanner put on Hunt three times.
I will be rooting for Hunto though. I don't think Mark has a snowflakes chance in Hades of beating my boy for the UFC HW strap, where everyone witnessed what the hands of JDS are capable of against Cain!
Cain will squash Bigfoot again, and if Hunt can somehow pull this off against JDS it gives the champ and easy next title defense.
I personally think that since Cain raped the mystique of the impenetrable takedown defense of JDS, that Hunt should try to take him down and pound him out.
Looking at JDS "blackbelt" in BJJ was nothing short of utter exposure in his being taken down 11 times and being totally unable to defend himself from Cain! I am not "knocking" Big Nog, just saying that even if JDS truly is a BJJ phenom, he is unable to transition it into his MMA career.
I would be willing to bet that if Mark put the same keylock attempt that he slapped on Fedor, JDS would tap faster than the little drummer boy, or get broken just like Nog did.
I miss Fedor SOOO bad, I can't even stand it!
On a side note, I am totally conflicted on the upcoming Wandy vs. Chael fight. Wandy is my favorite non-heavyweight MMA fighter, but I like Chael also.
I will be rooting for Wandy of course, but I don't see a much worse stylistic matchup for him. Crap, if the Iceman Chuck Lidell was able to utilize his wrestling to ground Wandy and win a close decision, I seriously fear what Chael will do.
It will suck if Chael is able to pull of 15 minutes of top control with little physical damage and end a legendary career like Wandy's!
This will however be the first fight that I am rooting against Chael in.

I don't think that JDS ever recovered from round 1 against Cain. He got rocked and never fully came back, so those take downs came a little easier.
Hunt can take out anybody. Even though his grappling isn't overly impressive, he's a hard guy to finish and keeps fighting. Hunt definitely has a better chance of beating JDS than Cain, but he can hurt anyone.
