yea I thought it was a weird match up at this point. I don't see how he deserved a shot since there are other guys more deserving but I guess deserving isn't always what it takes to get a title shot these days

^^^ I don't see that happening. Its gonna be a slugfest for sure. Is anyone as uninterested in Gus v. Jones as I am. I like Gus but I think Jones is pretty much going to dominate the fight and win by anyway he decides to.

Browne has brutal front kicks and is super hungry. He has ko power with both legs from any angle. Plus he weathered Reem's brutal knees (2 of which were completely illegal.) Hard Not to pick that guy. His only loss was when he blew out his knee against that big footed missing link and became a sitting duck.

Browne is good but I don't see a 1st round knockout. Barnett is a brawler. It's going to be a good fight. Personally I hope Barnett wins.

I'm leaning towards Barnett. His grappling is something that Browne has never seen, and Barnett has fought some of the best strikers in the world. He'll try to put lots of pressure on Browne and get it to the ground right away. On the other hand, the way that Browne KO'd Gonzaga was very impressive with his back against the cage. I don't think Barnett will give him space to strike and a lot of this fight will take place against the cage, but they'll be quite active there. Real hard to bet against Browne right now though.

It looks like the NSAC will finally put a little thought into the judges they pick for MMA and boxing.
"The Nevada State Athletic Commission is about to see some very big changes if NSAC chairman Bill Brady is to be believed. Brady said that they will no longer "rubber stamp" judging assignments as they have in the past."

Barnett hasn't shown me anything impressive lately. The cormier fight was lack luster. The mir fight was a sloppy mess. He didn't look crisp at all. Browne looks like he is at the top of his game right now. Like I said earlier, he is extremely hungry and looking to finish fights in dramatic fashion. I wouldn't want to fight him...
