Give me a break. Aww, you mean GSP didn't want to stand and trade punches with you? I wonder why? Why is GSP supposed to out duel his opponent in the area that they are the strongest? Nobody got mad at Anderson Silva for not going to the ground to fight Thales Leites.
I like Hardy, but come on, if you don't like it, go beat him.
And try not to get dominated for 5 straight rounds if you want to talk crap.
And BTW, the "risk" GSP takes is the same one all the fighters take, and that is, getting in the cage. That is a risk in itself, anything can happen in there, like some guy who can only puch, can drop you if your not careful.
Hmm, that sounds familiar, oh yeah, Serra did that to GSP.
I wonder why he doesn't just stand up and trade with punchers.....

you guys are wrong about anderson not catching any heat for the Leites fight. he is still flamed today for that fight. Dana expressed immediately after the fight how disappointed he was in Anderson which is why he matched him up with Forrest because he knows Forrest comes to fight,............ and well, so did anderson that night because we know how that went down

but I disagree with Dan, gsp landed the better shots while standing and almost finished him with the 2 sub attempts. theres' no way anyone can say gsp fights only to win.

but yea, Dan needs to step it up with his ground game if he plans to meet gsp again

Just got off the Strikeforce conference call, here some interesting notes:

When asked about how he would deal with Shields ground game, Henderson replied, "I think I've fought guys who are as good, if not better, so I'm not too worried" (paraphrase).

Shields got asked a few times about his potential exodus from Strikeforce after this fight, he was adamant about his relationship being good with Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, and that he is happy where he is.

When Scott Coker responded to it, he seemed to have a little more uncertainty in his voice, but he did say that they can excersize an option on Shields for one more fight, but they are going to wait till this fight is over to decide what to do.

Scott Coker did say that Strikeforce has shows planned past this one, and the May show(Fedor), he didn't give any hard details, but did say that Woodley would be a part of one of them. He thinks that one show would be a "Challengers" show, and the others would be more, high level type shows.

Scott also was asked about the possibility of having a Melendez/Aoki rematch in Japan, while he said there was no deal made for that to happen, it sounded like it was a good possibility. There was definitely some uncertainty when he was asked about what would happen if Aoki won the belt, and took it back to Japan, saying that he didn't really know what they would do, but they hinted at Melendez going there for the rematch, then joked about Melendez beating Aoki and being the DREAM champ, while Aoki would be the Strikeforce champ.

When Melendez was asked about Aoki's ground skills he said repeatedly that his dream scenario "would be if this fight never got to the ground", but he was realistic in thinking that it would, and said that he had been watching a lot of tape on Aoki and his submissions "scared him", but he felt like he gets more and more prepared, the more he watches.

Dana threatens to cut Anderson if he ever pulls his bs antics again like he did in the Maia fight.

And Anderson defends his belt against Chael Sonnen next. Not Vitor

I think Dana's bluffing. There's no way you will cut your p4p #1 guy. If he does, strikeforce will pick him up right away. But I don't think Anderson will do it again, I think he realizes that he messed up the way he acted.

anyways, rooting for Anderson to ko Sonnen but I gotta say, I'm a bit nervous for anderson in this one. I think anderson beats vitor easily but the way sonnen's been fighting, he's got a good chance to use his wrestling to his advantage

Hmmm I wonder if the UFC will take on the 145 and 135 divisions ? That would be interesting

Going by that article, they seem to say that the WEC will continue to offer those weights, because the UFC doesn't, but there are a lot of rumblings of a full conversion.

Bellator XV tomorrow night! Hornbuckle's the only one I really know anything about

Anyone hear about when Dinn Thomas is fighting Ricardo Mayorga,or did it take place already?
