i can't see how nog didn't win rd 1, he stuffed all the take down attempts and was the only one doing anything in the stand up. better yet, the question is, how did davis win rd 1?

heard about the inverted triangle, but didn't see it.
He was the aggressor and threw more strikes. Attempting takedowns is being more aggressive than stuffing them. Still, I would have probably given Nog the round because he landed better shots. I wouldn't say it was dominating and I didn't say I would have given him the round. I had the fight 29-28. I really hope they don't throw him to Bones yet. He needs a couple more fights with high-caliber guys.

it was sick; you gotta look it up. The setup was awesome, too.

thanks for the link, yea, that was slic, looks like the guy was out for a few seconds before the ref actually stepped in.

anyways, we both gave the rd to nog, but i don't see how anyone could've given that rd to davis. aggressively striking is not affectively striking. and he didn't have any octagon control at all. in fact, nog is the one to dictate where the fight took place. davis wasn't even striking to strike, he was striking to create an opening for takedowns. he didn't want the stand up at all really. good for him for figuring it out though, the double didnt' work so he switched for the single and it was all downhill from there for nog

ufc needs to just buy bellator already, i'd love to see eddie in the ufc
idk about buying, but eddie in the ufc would be superb. can't wait to see crusher fight Melendez. We definitely need that Alvarez/Melendez fight to come to fruitionn.

Fitch is out of his rematch with Penn due to injury.

If Condit is healthy, bring him in to KO Penn.

i'm kind of happy about fitch pulling out, i think he'd go in more prepared for the takedowns and take bj to a decision in a rematch.

i would've been ok too if they rematched though. penn vs condit would be dope. i always root for penn though, even though i think he whines a bit too much sometimes, don't know why i always want him to win. i've liked him since the beginning though, so maybe it's sentamental

i don't know about condit ko'ing penn though, but maybe he'd win a decision

I detest the Fitch lay and pray style... it's boring to watch, but it wins. And while the win is what counts, it's not something I want to watch. I'm glad that fight is off the card.

Thiago Silva admits to cheating following his fight against Vera when his urine sample had inconclusive results

Says he reinjured his back in training for the Vera fight and didn't want to pull out, so he used injections to his back that had things in it that were on the AC's banned substance list and so he tried to mask his urine.

He admits fault, admits trying to cheat the system, apologizes to Vera, UFC and the fans and takes full responsibilities for his actions and will accept any penalties/punishment

I personally forgive him, at least he owns up to it, but he needs to be punished to the fullest extent because this is not something to play with when your job is to beat the crap out of the other guy
