Cant wait for jds cain rematch...

Sumo we talked previously about mir vs jds.... You were right about mir as the replacement choice, but I still think cain woulda been a better fight

I personally think heavywieght class in ufc is a joke, never enough quality high end contenders. I dont think mir is worthy of a title shot, even with his defeat of big nog, niether of these guys should be considered "contenders" . Ufc really needs to take on some new heavywieghts and expand the division. I just hope the cain jds rematch is a ppv and not another cbs broadcast.

They could always pillage Strikeforce for Daniel Cormier,Josh Barnett and what ever happened to that guy that was knocking Brock Lesnar around until he ran out of gas and Brock beat?

Bottles, struve fought a smart fight. He's known for his inability to fight tall and get into slugfests which is why he's been ko'd before. I expected struve to take the fight into later rounds, did not expect him to pull guard when Johnson was still so fresh but it proved to be the right move. He has a pretty good guard and have subbed off his back before. Like u said, they hit the ground and he isolated the arm pretty quick for a stoppage.

00rollins, i agree, cain is the more logical opponent for jr in terms of skills and ability. But like i said before, he lost decisively. You can't sell a rematch like that. Usually, immediate rematches are only warranted if there was something contraversial or at least a really close fight. It made sense to give him a fight first and being that he devastated bigfoot, this will build a great story for the rematch. The rematch at this point in time is MUCH MUCH more attractive after last Saturdays results don't u think? The route they took was the best although i knew mir had nothing for jr. Again, the guy everyone should be pissed at is overeem. The ufc did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. U wanna see a crappy card, look at ufc 147. Now vitor is out of the wanderlei fight making the already non-compelling card way crappier.

Btw, I'm not too dissatisfied with the hw division, its better now than it was a few years ago. There's a few guys they can build up and plus like krich said, Daniel cormier and josh Barnett will be a great addition.

I think the ufc is doing what they can to add depth to the division, its not exactly like their are awesome heavyweights out there. They pretty much have like the top 20 heavyweights. Only ones i can think of with any name to them is fedor and kharitonov, but those 2 aren't coming. And even if they did, they won't add much depth, and it kills me to say that, I'm a big fan of kharitonov and an even bigger fan of fedor. The ufc pretty much picked up anybody worth anything. Any other heavyweight out there need are not ready for the big stage or have not made themselves known.

Hw div ef getting better but still lack luster imo, ufc needs to invest in the youth of non known hwts. They have been building all the other divisions since tuff started. Im sure there are some real athletes that could fill up the hw div and be the future jon jones or gsp of the division. They waste time and utilities fighting old big name guys with no future to be great, half of the division know.

Agreed that overdeem is at fault for the issues with the line up on the last ppv. And no argue that mir was the fall back option, but he is one of the older big name lack luster fighters that saturate many of the ufc cards.

And what did happen to shane carwin?

I never bought into the shane carwin hype. Think he was gonna retire because of some injury but he may make a return. But this is me just going off a vague memory
