in the infancy Of the ucf they could punch the back of the head and soccer kick downed opponents. it was just shy of the wild west. Then along came debbie downer making it alot safer for the fighters. Changing the rules and such.

I honestly think a huge underdog will shock the world one day. Everyone gets caught eventually...Until then haters gone hate!
 
I have nothing against weight classes and the other changes that had to be made in UFC...I don't want to watch a guy get pummeled or stomped to death before my very eyes lol.I only mentioned it because you posed the question about the point of weight classes...I just think they should fight and no harm should be done,as far as perception,or to their careers.Thats all I'm saying.

The funny thing is, if Chael would have survived 27 seconds, Jones would not have been able to continue and Chael would have won.

Pretty interesting card with some strange stoppages. The broken thumb, and the eye poke with no time to continue.
I was happy to see Rustam get the W, but I didn't think he'd win by breaking the other guys thumb.
Here's a gif of the thumb break, which isn't as bad as the toe.

I saw that toe break, doesn't seem normal... Think it was weakened some how? A bad kick or training injury?
 
I was thinking that too. Most likely a bad kick off of a knee or an elbow that caused a minute fracture before hand.
 
the more I think about it, I kind of wish chael made it out of the round so he would've won by tko just to see the hilarity that may have ensued






btw, I would also love to see superfights. if I was a long time champ and made my money, next is to secure your legacy. of course i'd go challenge other weightclass's champs

Haha me too. I can only imagine the things that would come out of his mouth...until the rematch.
 
Everyone keeps saying that Chael would have won had the match gone a few more seconds.I can't wait to see it so I can judge for myself.
