Belfort dispatches Henderson in savage fashion.I like both fighters but I wanted to see Hendo take this one.

awe dude, spoiler!!!! I knew I shouldn't have came in this thread yet until after I saw it

I didn't watch it yet. I picked him to win anyways. odds were pretty good for him to finish dan with strikes and even better for submission (+900 or something from what I read). if I were a betting man i'd drop some cheddar on vitor via ko/tko

Awe my bad Xue,didn't mean to spoil the outcome.I have to remember the time difference in times like this...I wasn't aware of the betting odds and how much they favored Vitor.

just finished the fight.

pretty good card. a lot of vicious knockouts with a few decisions.

I felt that the ref could've let dan continue just a tad bit longer. he was obviously hurt and in trouble but was still defending when the ref jumped in. but I get that fighter safety comes first so i'm ok with it too. awesome left uppercut counter that knocked dan off his feet and then came the kick when dan got back up. this is vitor's 3rd ko resulting from a kick. during the post fight conference dana said vitor is next for a title shot.

I just finished watching it. I am not okay with the stoppage. Sure he probably was done and if it was just about any other fighter I might have been okay with it but it was one of the toughest fighters ever, DFH and he was not out.

Vitor looked very impressive. And I agree with you guys that it could have gone longer, but the result probably would have been the same.
I'd never seen Brandon Thatch fight before. I knew that he must be pretty good since he was almost a 4:1 favorite over Paulo Thiago. I have to say that I was blown away with how easily he took Thiago out.
I didn't see the post fight presser. Is Vitor getting a shot at 205 or 185?

there was a lot of hype behind thatch. the guy is huge for that division. because of his height his knees are devastating since he doesn't have to bring them up as high

vitor's current home is 85. his title shot is silva/Weidman winner

I agree that dan most likely would've just taken more damage and stopped anyways. but you always wanna give the guy the benefit of the doubt. which is why i'm always on the fence on it. a guy is hurt and may be defending but that doesn't mean he isn't seriously hurt. at the same time, we've seen some beat downs where a guy comes back to get the win. I would've liked it to go a little bit longer but then i'm ok with the stoppage too. no way to tell how truly hurt dan was. for a younger guy, i'd say it was an early stoppage, but dan is what? 42, 43? at that age, you gotta be real careful how long you let them take clean shots

btw, bisping tweeted after the fight: two juice heads

lol, dan and vitor both are on trt. but bisping is probably still butthurt that he's been on the receiving end of a ko highlight from both guys

do you guys feel that stephens got shafted for ko of the night bonus? a lot of times the main card gets the nod over prelims or it's just a popularity contest.

sure, dan has never been stopped so I can see that but it's hard to argue ko of the night over what stephens did to rony Jason. stephens sent him straight to rem

185 is getting really interesting with the addition of Machida and Mousasi. I think that Vitor beats Weidman, but I'd love to see a rematch with Silva. It's a hard one to pick with the way Vitor has looked lately.
