Three-and-a-half hours... Good God. What's happening to gaming these days? 6 hours is like the NORM for games now... I'm from the 20+ hour Era of gaming.

All games now days are built to be played online live. Some games don't even have a campain they are just online only.

Same here, I don't play games much anymore but I love the games that you actualy need to take several days to accomplish.

I would guess that the multiplayer online part would take a average player a couple of months or so to complete or get to 100%. And even then the play would change from match to match.

The offline game play is there only as a warm up so to say.

360 sucks, do your research! I have it plus I use to have 7 old xboxs & still have 4 & work great. The 360 is defective & failure rate is high. I have had the RROD now 3 times. first time it happend they fixed it but 10 months later it went again & they wanted $120 to fix it because the extended warranty was based on the manufacture date. so went without it for about 8 months & been paying for online since existenace. Well my Nephew is in engineering school & they have taken these apart etc.. He fixed mine (now side business for him), part $5. shipping $20. He even said it will fail again because the way they are built.
So two month later & new Call Of Duty game and maybe two hours of play I get the RROD! So tick. Anyway at Best buy (not a fan of same) but was going to buy the arcade no hard drive. Asked if it had the new stuff in it & the guy spilled it all out. Only elite has the new processor or whatever & doe snot matter. States he gave up after his dies four times. Another guy there had his die 11 times with one catching on fire!!!!
Also talked to Game Stop & they said pretty much the same thing that 360 will get the RROD!
I did file a complaint with State Attorney Generals office. ALso on line there was a class action law suit in California against Microsoft. It sucks because of all the money in Games etc & feel stuck with a crappy system. It is great if it works but odds are against you. I spent a small fortune on Xbox & related. Have almost every Halo figure in boxes including the originals & limited additions.
Anyways I say go with the PS3. & Apple computers at this point.

I got it for the xbox and ps3. It looks better on the ps3 but the online play is better on xbox.

20 hours? That's it? Back when I played video games (and the genre I played) the short ones were about 40 hours. I was disgusted when the last final fantasy game I played (9) rewarded you for finishing in 20 hours!

Has to be one of the best games ive been in my life, but it is better on XBOX 360

I can't imagine why...

Controls are awful and, unless your computer is a piece of garbage, the graphics are far better. Also, hybridtheoryd16 got it right on the dot. They don't make games very long anymore because of the online mode. Now, that disappoints me.

Since we're on the topic, I've been generally disgusted with the recent supply of games. Online shooters have turned gaming into a social thing, rather than a trial of skill. I play games to complete them, not to talk to people. Then again, I'm a minority: my favorite genre is the platformer.

Turn-based RPG's were never my thing. and I said 20+.

Bioshock and Elder scrolls Oblivion are the only games that come to mind from this Generation that was built for O.G. 's (Original Gamer).

Companies just dont think about the gamer anymore it's all profit profit profit for cheap thrills. Multiplayer is great , but , like I said I'm an O.G.
And in my noob days , Multiplayer was still a side feature.

What makes you say that? I've played it on both and there's no gameplay difference whatsoever. The only difference I could see was that the graphics were slightly worse on the xbox. I don't fully understand how that would make it better though. I dunno, Guess you just confused me.
I personally think the controls on the x-box are much better, but maybie thats because I started with it. To each his own, I guess.
