They didn't (well, besides captives in zoos and such). That's a hypothetical situation.

Speaking of monkey hunting, I'm apparently going to get to see some natives hunt monkeys in the Amazon basin this summer. I'd be little cautious of eating monkeys though since they are so similar to humans, there are probably a lot more diseases we could get from them than other meats...

Ah i dont mean there was real baboon populations in Texas, just feral Japanese snow monkeys. Monkeys will be last thing I would eat.
 
I've seen monkeys when kyaking with my girl. She has some springs around her house and we thought it would be a good idea to go explore. we were pretty shocked :D

Was this by the Glades or Keys ?
Where they squirell monkeys?
I have heard from fishermen that they have seen monkeys in tree's overlooking the water in both Glades and Keys .
