I've got friends that live over in that area. I'm in St. John's so right across the buckman from ya. Gorgeous tank man. I'd like to find some local cichla here for sale to help alleviate the cost of shipping

Good luck with that. No one here is into rare anything. This place sucks for buying fish, so usually when I visit other cities and states whike driving. I research the area and stores and might bring a cooler and aireator just in case.

Sure, if the timing is right, I have no problem with it. I am always up for meeting MFK members and swapping stories and advice..

This is too true... There's no real "local" fish stores that sell freshwater. There's a place near you called jollys reef shack down blending. They're cool and have a decent selection. They order from segrest though so everything is farmies

Yeah, Jollys's in IMO is amature's when it comes to rare cichlids/fish as well. In fact when I am there to buy shrimp to feed my eel, they never have nothing worth buying unless its salt water, which I am not into. I guess when there is not much of a market for the rare expensive fish you have to provided what the markets calls for. Economy 101...
