Now, who was the knob that said a full grown dovii could kill a full grown bichir? I'd like to see him argue that again...

Love your comment.

hi i have seen this pic before and was wondering if anyone knew if this polys was W/C this big or did it grow in captivity to this size?
it's WC this big.
by the way, i believe the fish in the original post is actually an ansorgii and not congicus.

im not sure is its a ansorgii, see the below pic of a angsorgii that looks like it was taken out by the same that took this pic out, But maybe who no's none of us saw this fish in tank and not stressed out.

one more thing i notice is look at the head and body shape, its looks like it is endi' and the only endi that can get up to that size is a cong

it is an ansorgii IMHO.. large ansorgiis sometimes doesn't have markings... i have one at 15" and a congi they do look different... most of the pics posted here on the huge bichirs are large ansorgii...

BTW-> if you guys want 2ft+ ansorgiis, ask toyin he has them in stock at this time...

Lol! Yes it is indeed an ansorgii. The gray base patternless ansorgii:ROFL:. My bad.:( The only thing I like gray base ansorgii is that they develop more green patches. Overall I still prefer the classic on with dark checkered patterns.
