I guess not everyone likes the same type of fish huh?

Not a chance. Everybody has their preferences. Some are into natives, others gars , im into rare show pieces. We all like huge fish here though. :)

I've kept most everything at one time or another but I'm currently looking for large, active, peaceful fish to stock the aquarium behind my bar :)

arowanas, with a shoal of 10 inch red finned tinfoil barb, stingrays and tiger datnoids. All constant swimmers / movers (cept for the Dat ) peaceful and great
to look at.

I considered arows and rays but decided I want to keep fish that have similar diets. The ease of feeding pellets and veggies can't be beat. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Arows can be fed pellets it thats what youre worried about. Or buy freeze dried krill and alternate bet pellets and fdk.

I've heard mixed things about arows eating pellets. Do you have experience yourself doing so?

Yes i have .. ive had several in the past eating pellets.. silvers , blacks ,jardini and asians. All have eaten pellets .

Out of all the aros, blacks are usually the hardest to switch over to pellets . probably due to the fact that a lot of them are wild caught.

But a few days of starving is all it takes for them to gobble it up. I use hikari carnivorous pellets with great results. For stubborn aros, i soak Freeze dried krill in water then dump it.. they will eat that.. then i would switch to pellets.

Good info. I've converted redline snakeheads in the past to pellets but never attempted arows. I'd love an Asian but obviously they're unavailable. Perhaps I'll consider silver.
