Its doesnt matter, I just let him know that it is illegal to kill grass carp in Florida.

Well I threw some greens in and some cherry tomatoes hoping it will attract him, but nothing. But, I did notice something else. While the sun went down and the clouds cleared up, it made it easier to see in the water. And not very far at all from where I saw the monster carp, It seemed like there was a huge school, of about 50 very large fish like things moving in the water, ranging from 3-4 feet. I threw some baited greens on the school, but again, nothing. I'm not sure what these are, but it could be more grass carp, or large tilapia. I'll try corn maybe, could be something else other than grass carp? I should try spam, havn't yet. But what do you guys think? And all I caught that night was a 3 foot gator, but at least it put up a good fight! :D

sweet corn is what i use in the early season before the bass start bitting,

WOOOOOOW!
I was fishing for bass on the same side I saw the grass carp using a sinking twitch bait, and the monster carp just happens to swim right in front of me! I quietly throw it out and bring it in slowly, he was just sitting there. I get my line over him and snag him hard! Right on his tail fin. I know I shouldn't have done that but excitement got the better of me, unfortunetly, I was using a 6' light tackle rod desinged for bass with 6 pound test and wasn't really expecting to find him today, and he ran soooo hard when I snagged him he broke my pole in half, still tried to reel him in anyways but he jumped and the twitchbait flew off, oh well. It was one of the best freshwater fights I've ever had, and it took at least 10 seconds lol. And I do think this guy is at least 5 feet long. It was an example of how strong big grass carp are, I better get a heavy duty rod out for this guy!

I know, but I just got overly excited, I mean when you see a 5 foot fish just sitting in front of you, your gonna want to catch it right? I keep seeing this guy over and over again, and I still have trouble getting over his size. Hotdog didn't work. But I heard from a friend that bread works best for grass carp, I still need ideas guys, I want to catch this monster!

hurry and catch him, I want to know how big this beast is........I hope it doesn't turn out to be only 2 ft.
