Monster grass carp spotted! What to use?

Mulberry's work good for grass carp..... i worked at a golf course here in indiana and seen 4 and 5 footers all the time. There are hundreds in our main irragation pond. They spook very easy but i did spear one about 3 foot long and weighed about 20-25lbs. big big fish.:D

use a really small circle hook and let them swallow it good before you set the hook. just dont try to get ur hook back when you catch it. the hook will rust out or digest eventually. live bait or meaty or stinky bail dont apply with grass carp.

I don't blame you, but do go around saying that when you have never been fishing for grass carp in FL, escpecially in an overgrown lake.
THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO CATCH. I'm just about resorting to snagging.
If not? I give up....:irked:

just read what i suggested i have caught them before. they are about impossible to snag unless u get them close to the tail and then they are hard to land. :D relax you will get them eventually lol
