I think some of you are creating a conflict out of thin air. George is a very respected and seasoned importer and retailer. Seiichi is a very respected and seasoned aquarist who estimated, i.e., eyeballed, the size based on the picture and his considerable experience w/ Hoplias aimara and their proportions. As he mentioned, English is not his strong suit, so his comment may have been mistaken as a challenge, when in fact it was not. Now, please stop stirring the pot.
