monster indoor fish pond

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Figure that a standard backyard pool is around 15000 gallons, and the filter usually runs for 8 hours a day. Running all day 1 should do the trick with the proper jets and intakes.

you would need heater, lighting, filtration. The one thing that hasn't been brought up yet is after all this work you might want to make sure you will be staying in the house for an extended amount of time. you don't want to build a tank that size and then realize your getting transferred 6 months later. great idea, but i was dissuaded from building a 3x3 pond just because of the amount of time and effort put into it.

LOL Love this post!! I started out with a 55 about a year ago and then went to a 125 then bought 3 more of those...then sold 2...bought a 140...then gave that to the inlaws and bought a 220...and now im in the market for a 400 plus!! if anyone has one let me know!! But yea build a big 300 gallon first then go from there!

yea we'll see what happens after college. im going to need to get a larger tank or a small pond for my pleco when i get out of college and get my own place.

Looks perfect to me.
