Hey, no bowing to me. I just happen to work with them.

Dude, your awesome. I only have a degree to get and hopefully thats where I will be too.

there are alot of very large marine tanks out there. there just not on this site. this site is geared more to fresh water tanks. a good friend of mine is in the process of building a 17,000 gallon reef tank. the system will be about 22,000 gallons total system volume. there is a thread on reef central on that tank. that is where you will find most of the big tank threads for marine tanks. there are alot of big public aquariums out there but this tank is the biggest privately owned reef tank that i know of that is documented on the internet.

Spazz your right reef central is one of the best.I`m not so interested in public aquariums .I want to see tanks build by people at home. People that we all can relate to. And cockroch get a life, girl.

I have 250 reef that I will be upgrading to a 600 in about a years time. Have pics of some of the inhabitants of King of my reef thread below. Most of the work will be DIY with the exception of the tank. I will have that custom made.

The only reason I don't have a salt tank or tank's is the money it cost's. for what I have in freash water if that were to be salt water setup's I'd be able to run a team in ama superbike...

a good friend of mine who come's from money ( familly's wealthy) has a salt tank
650 gal's of salt tank with about $30,000 in to it basicaly that cover's tank , filtration , stand , reinforcement of floor in his house , live rock , coral , enemene's , FISH!! , lighting , food ....

salt is beutifull but expensive..:D

well to me it hasnt been that bad... most of the equipment can be bought second in other places and its running very well... others have gone diy all the way and thats very cost effective. And when i say all the way I mean all the way from rocks to lighting to frag swapping you name it. Its more time consuming, but i think more rewarding.

zookeeper- 3 quick things.

1. I too am a south african that lived in cape town.

2. I am not a girl.

3. I was making a joke as that kinda tank is not even in the running for any single person to own.

cockroach that was such an uncalled for comment that I felt that you must just be a natural *****.Why would I be impressed by someones pic of a public aquarium. If I worked for Ferrari noboddy would be impressed if I took pictures of the cars.Big ****ing deal someboddy else designed and paid for the thing.
