I paid a fair price for it, however I'm replacing it soon with a 135 made of starphire glass. I've considered the jump to MH, but haven't taken it because I'm on a fence between MH and HO T5. My 4 fixtures on my 135 total nearly $900, over with tax. The cost of a tank is nothing compared to the costs of setting up a good planted tank.Joshy;634278;634278 said:Wow, WyldFya and Spyder, you both have truly inspired me.
Most monster tanks you see are very sterile, unnatural, and have one or two huge fish only just squeezing in. But yours both look like you have taken a chunk out of nature and stuck it in your room between glass panels.
It is the way fish keeping should be most of the time: lots of plants and small fish in huge tanks. I bet your fish do not even realise they are in captivity half the time.
It is a shame about the glass WyldFya, did you get the tank cheap though? Dont recon the glass detracts from the tanks beauty one little bit!
And Spyder, that expensive lighting has really paid off, because your plants and whole tank look amazing. Can we have a stock list of plants and fish?
This is an option, that must be turned on in your user cp.Spyder;634042;634042 said:No, mine don't say edit, only Quote & quick

Round my end, it will be the equipment that costs the bomb shell, plants can be brought in bulk for next to nothing. And thing with monster planted tanks is you can’t skimp on the equipment, am i right WyldFya?
Wow Spyder, thats some fish stock you got there! And yet that tank is still understocked lol! So what fish or inverts are very beneficial to planted tanks? I can’t imagine the rams doing much good except look pretty and make a bioload for the plants. But fish like the otos, bristlenoses and the shrimp must help loads in their own ways.
