The driftwood is simply floating against the glass braces at the top of the tank.

I'm working on the bottom now. It's a little more intricate with the legs and all in the way. Thanks again for looking and thanks for this great forum.

Me neither! I got the bottom of the stand on. All that's left now is cutting the holes for the drains and return lines and then the decorative skin. I have to decide between stained oak/stained birch/painted black. I'll get some new progress pics up later today.
