Monster Predatory Community Update, it's been a while...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've seen your stock and names a few times, and have to say I still love the name Captain Awesome! They look great. The aggression hasn't been an issue, but watch it when you make the tank switch. It's that one change from "normalcy" that could trip some of their triggers. That's not me doubting your setup, cause I don't. Just watching out :). Can't wait to see the new beast set up!

great looking tank, fish and love the old truck as well:)

nice personally i would move all the fish but the oscars into your new beautiful tank, that ruins that awesome CA bad ass parachromis tank for me haha

Thanks for the tip. I agree with you and I am a little anxious about moving them. It's the one time that things will change drastically in the fishes' day to day life. I am anxious but hopeful. If two breeding pairs isn't enough to upset the balance though, I don't know what is. We'll see and time will tell. I'll be sure to let you guys know how it goes though.

I used to not like Oscars, but their personality has won me over. The big albino is definately one of my favorites. He's like a big labrador retriever almost, lol.:D

keep the pics coming...nice work.

Thanks. I've been a little busy lately getting all my ducks in a row for this new tank. I'll get some good detail pics soon.

Any pics of the saums? And how do two males get along? ?

I'll get some pics up soon. Like I said, I've been a little busy gathering wood for the stand, driftwood, rocks, etc.. But, everybody gets along well.

I've broken a lot of "conventional" rules with a lot of same species males, allowing breeding to occur, feeding live foods from time to time, not to mention overstocking, etc.. It has been my experience that keeping the fishes "happy" is the key to a relatively peaceful setup. But, with that said, what works for me may not work for others. I have seen these types of setups last for years and I have seen these types of setups end in disaster.

Thanks again everyone for looking.
