oh yeah u bet...i never let my family know how much those plecos cost..if they knew it cost 4 digits..they'll prob kick up a fuss for the rest of the year... :ROFL:

the rest of the ppl are like.."wow..i can think of better ways to spend the money"..so i juz say "for me, it's better to spend on many many fish than many many pairs of shoes/handbags!" :D
 
I catch some stuff at work from co-workers, but once they see the tanks they cant stop staring at it usually. There is something about a huge arowana that keeps peoples attention.

LOL..even my wife wouldnt believe how much the fish in my tanks would cost.
A tigrinus is only 30 bucks. ;)

Yeah my inlaws just came to visit us and my mother in law was telling my father
how i even have a "hospital" just for fish. :WHOA:
 
This happens all the time when I meet someone new and in the course of the conversation my obsession cough cough I mean my hobby gets brought up and for some strange reason the tone goes from curious to change the subject after they inquire about how many tanks and how big are your fish mabe i am nuts mabe we're all nuts but at least we're having fun :drool:
 
im not even remotely interested to find out if were nuts. Youre right.. as long as we get our fix from this hobby then to hell it. :ROFL:
 
Most people are impressed by my fish.

:ROFL: I just read post #1 and i have to laugh because an old friend came by just last week-- have'nt seen him in a long time, in the area for the holidays, ya know. He just stopped when he saw our tank, said OMG, dropped into the 'viewing chair' and next: "Did you get that from a restaurant?"
He was, however, reluctant to get up again. LOL.
 
i have ppl telling me i talk about fish too much but when they see the tanks and fish they somewhat understand.. everyone that comes in the house from repair man to friends they all stop at the fish room and have to go in and look around....
