-You can bring it anywhere to show to fellow stamp nerds

Yeahhhh, my friends usually laugh at me when i start talking about fish. It doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is when people say I should get a fluffy dog instead because fish are boring and all you can do is look at them. I say mehhhh, and reach back and slap them with my pimp hand.

im glad the holidays are over for the most part all the dumb *** family comments on my pets and tanks was driving me crazy i wanted to smack them "you paid how much for that snake" how much was that tank" and so on some people will never understand my uncle could not believe that im planning on building a pond for rays he said im stupid and need to get a better life i flipped on him yold him off and said atleast i didnt spend 8 grand on a stupid home theater system put it up myself and short the whole thing out he shut up and left my room
most people who see my tanks are impressed i only have three a 90 a 125 and a 5. however they see the hobby i really dont give a s**t. some of my co workers who havent even seen them say that seems like too much work. all i hear from them is how their dog got out bit some old lady now their homeowners is cancelling them, or my cat scratched up my new 1200$sofa, basically all pets are work. i like the fact that mine are contained and i dont have to worry about them hurting my kids like the pit bull i had or getting out. i cant stand judgmental people and i just try and keep my opinions to myself
Aboslutely everybody I know is critical of my fish-keeping. The comments vary from condescending-sarcastic to seriously hostile.
When I proudly told my mother, who lives on a different hemisphere, on the phone that I have 13 tanks. Her reaction was:
"So? It is very bad!" but did not bother elaborating.
I guess it does not require comments. Fish-keeping is a form of OCD. Let's admit it!
