fish are definetly better than birds( they are mean nearly lost a finger) and just as good as any dog(oscar for instance).

It's ok if they annoy us anyway, my husband makes up for it by annoying the hell out of everyone else because he won't shut up about the fish and tanks.
I have gotten comments about making a meal out of some of my fish, but I don't find it offensive. A few of my fish are eating size, so whatever. It's not like someone is gonna actually go fishing in my tank.

Yes, I also hate it when people tell me to get a dog or something...I would use that very good comeback too, gooda, but unfortunately my fish aren't that big. One day I will get some monster carnivores...and all will be well

Then theirs my friend Dave who thinks its funny that if I don't have a hidding spot for some of my fish that they can stress out, not eat and die. ANd he doesn't understand that aquariums have a fixed cost and its hard to find a deal on them. Cheap skate.
