The glass looks unbroken, did the seams fail? Lucky your son was not in front of the tank when this happened.

damn it's a really a nightmare for me the tank is not the worst thing but the things the water destroyed if nobody was home it had made the situation worst is it glass?

for sure! he was upstairs so he was unharmed other than frightened..the tank was 96x30x36 1"acrylic all around..apparently the wrong glue was used because the seems are perfect..looks like fresh cut acrylic..state farm is my insurance, we'll see how it goes..walls and flooring were destroyed..and entire first floor of house had water..

the 15" alpha moba did survive..i lost some females(of course, couldnt be males)but am thankful my son rescued what he did..

you can see by this picture, the kitchen and carpet are covered by water and that fine sand..it amazes me that water was all over the ceiling!

HOLLY SMOKES!!! Sorry man... good luck with the clean up, hope the other one doesn't blow.

look inside the broken tank I just notice there's like an evil eye inside maybe a reflection from somwhere.

wow if they don't give you that lifetime gaurantee they promised that would suck.

awesome tank and fish though. Good job rescuing the remains.

sorry

that is absolutly horrible , find the guy and sue the living shnikies out of him !!!!!!

Was that tank from precision aquariums in Canton, Ga? Off of airport road and 575?
Marine Reef and Fish in Roswell got a coral table form them and the same thing happened.... a whole side just blew out. I was thinking about getting my tank from them until the guys at MR&F told me about the coral table. I went through glasscages instead.
Hope they give you your money back and then some. i wouldn't ask for a replacement.

i'm hoping member robkob will answer this..he had a tank built by the same guy but he caught his in time..he noticed a seam coming apart and drained it before it blew..as far as suing him, my insurance will go after him for the costs(per the claims person i spoke with). unfortunately, precision clarity is no longer in business(so i'm told).mike coutts was the one who built this tank and apparently sold the business to some unsuspecting fellow..i believe he calls the company precision custom aquariums..his home page shows my 450 before they shipped it..
