He said he would have to order it on his next shipment which wouldn't be till January so I have time to see what I can still find second hand. I am still considering yours, but at the end of the day, this is my main tank in my living room, and I am kind of iffy on the condition of your tank and I need the tank to be in much better condition than yours as it is a display piece. Yours has quite a few issues with it so forgive me if I didn't jump all over yours but some flags went up for me.

1. It has a 3" x 1" "chip" in the glass on the back pane, how this happens is beyond me without shattering the entire pane.
2. It has to be completely resealed, the current seal on the tank is not acceptable.
3. You strapped the back pane which I would have to remove as I always paint my back pane black and this would interfere with it.
4. It's an hour each way which means I would need to bring 4-5 guys with me, not a huge deal but more headache than I would like to have to deal with during the holidays, as rounding up a group of guys at this time of year isn't always the easiest.

vs.

buying a new tank in mint condition, delivered to my door.

Both 10 foot tanks are only 2 feet front to back, so in reality I am not upgrading the dimension that I want (depth) but instead just upgrading the length. My 180 is 2 feet, front to back, and I want to find a tank that is 3 feet front to back.

That 500 would make a nice tank....

my tanks sold and the tank was resealed nicely btw .
only take two guys to lift it lol

Can you blame someone for not wanting a chipped tank that required work? ie: re-seal

I never said it wasnt a good deal for someone. I never talked poorly of your tank. I never said it couldnt be re-sealed. It simply wasn't the tank for me after thinking about it. Why come into my thread and start callin me names like smart ass, when it was your inability to read that caused me to have to point it out to you in the first place?

i never said you talked down about the tank or said you said it couldint be resealed. you wanted a show tank fair enough it wasint a show tank. (maybe when it was new) and the fact that i over read something that you posted. my bad no need to go ( ta da ) thats why i called you a smart ass. if that offend you sorry but im sure you have been called worse.
