*sigh* thanks for degenerating my thread into this mess. At the time a simple "ta da" seemed pretty easy going considering your snarky remark about me having another tank lined up and you were clearly trying to take a pot shot at me for not buying your tank.

And even now you are trying to take jabs at me for whatever unknown reason with your backhanded apology of "sorry but im sure you've been called worse"

Either way, stop posting in my thread unless you have some options for me to pursue or have a tank I would be interested in please.

No I was simply asking where your 300 was you where talking about . You seemed pretty excited about it. Well I'm sure someone's called you worse. But anyways Craigslist there's a 400 in t-dot just tank there's no pics tho .. Also a 375 on kijiji but its only 30" so I think it may be point less for you. Are you willing to travel for the tank you need there's a few on mfk over in the us that are decently priced .

10 foot tank is nice but I'm pretty sure most of us would rather have the distance from front to back rather than a tall tank or long that just my opinion.

Exactly. 10 feet left to right is cool and all if all you are keeping is cichlids or fish that don't exceed the 10" mark or so, but any fish that are larger require more depth front to back so the fish can turn around with more ease.

Can you link me to the two tanks? I wouldn't mind seeing them.

Yea I gotta find the one on Craigslist but I have the 375 saved on my comp at home . Have you thought about a plywood tank you can make them show quality

i wish i had the space and i wish my parents understood that the 10foot tank would be a investment not a loss

You're parents are right, by definition fish keeping is usually not an "investment" as there is no financial return long term, unless you become a breeder, and a 10 foot show tank is not the most ideal for that. For most this is a hobby. Have you seen how much of a bath these people take on re-selling their tanks? Monster tanks sell on the used market for a fraction of their original cost.

sorry i cant find that 400 gallon i can remmber what i typed in to find it. the theres a few tanks i found trying to find that 400 found the 375 is the 351 sorry for the mistake. but anyways ill keep lookin

I totally agree on taking a huge loss on re selling monster tank set ups. My 450 gallon 8'x3'x2.5' glass tank system cost me over $7000 new for everything. Had a lot of equipment. The tank alone was 3 years old and all the equipment was 1 year old and I ended up selling it for $2800 delivered ($2500 in my pocket after delivery expense). I was lucky to even get that as I had a lot of low ball offers of $1000-$1500...What I notice is there are just way too many cheapskates in this hobby expecting to get monster tanks for free...they don't realize how much it cost for a custom monster tank system. I guess them cheapskates never experienced buying one new...
