moon lighting

does anyone have moon lighting in there tanks? cuz im debating if i should get it or not..

anyone have pics of your tank under moon lighting?

do they not sell moonlight strips any more? cuz i was just looking around on the net and notice only the single units only...

can i use the 48" one for my 75. I will be housing 2 rectic pup rays until i get my 220.

Depends on what you want to do with it. A 48" one would fit on top of the tank, would it light it the way you want? Only you can answer that.

I have moonlight (single white LED in series) on both my tanks. Got them from Dr Foster Smith... cheapest. I have 6 over my 720 gal and 4 over my 200 gal, on timers.

I HATE THE BLUE... looks unnatural and gives me a headache. The white look much more like real moonlight .

Fish (especially the nocturnal guys) seem to enjoy it... I noticed DIFFERENT activity from different fish when the moonlights are on (as opposed to when regular lights are on or no lights).


But don't get the blue ones... does not look like moonlight, just looks like a blue light over your tank

Well other than the fact that i like the way they make ur tank look it would be vinient for me to get this light strip because i was using 6 of the little l.e.d's but it was to much wire clutter.

personally I just like 1- 1watt LED light per 2 feet.

I know they make red moon lights too, but I dont ever see anyone talking about them much, is that just cause its most peoples preference? Anyone have any pictures of white?

I think the red is just for reptiles.

It is mostly for reptiles, but certain species prefer the red to the blue, white, or green lighting.
