i think you would have to say that the light-heavy is more entertaining other than brock getting beat down. light heavy has silva, griffin, bj penn among others. it seems like its more of an anything can happen match in light heavy.

The guys you bring up to make your argument are, 1. Who really fights at middl-weight, 2. A guy who just was on the end of one of the most embarrassing KO's of all time, and 3. A guy who fights at 155?
I'm confused.

But, to your point, Light-Heavy has been thought of for a long time to be the most dominant division, but I think that unless the UFC can get a hold of guys like Mousasi and King Mo, that weight class will continue to slide.

I think Hevyweight could be the most impressive right now, or at least is showing to have the highest cieling, but I would say the most competitive division is 155. There are a ton of really good fighters in that weight.

agree,.............. only one thing I'm not so sure of is will Cain beat Brock?

It's gonna come down to who is the better wrestler, who ends up on top when the fight hits the ground. They both have a wrestling back ground so the winner will be the better wrestler that night. I actually give Brock the edge in that fight only because of the difference in size. He may be the only guy in the UFC hw division to neutralize Cain's wrestling. Cain's biggest success is because he has beaten guys down due to his dominance with the wrestling. Take that part away and against someone who is a stronger wrestler and we'll see how he fairs

The fact that Cain can wrestle, and has some solid JJ, makes me think that Brock will want to try and stand with him (especially since he's perceived to have no KO power). This is why I think Cain will win, he has much faster hands, and is going to be the most technical stand-up guy Brock has seen, with size (Randy is very technical, but too small). Cain will frustrate Brock on his feet, then when Brock gets flustered, he will make mistakes trying to get Cain down, and while they are on the mat.

Me too. Anderson Silva's home is middleweight. He has said many times he has no desire to fight LHW for the title. Those couple of fights were just him dipping his feet in the water. Now, if you are talking about Thiago Silva (which I would find strange), that's another story.

Griffin is a good fighter, but he has a long climb back up that rope before he gets passed that last knockout.

To be honest, naming BJ Penn as a LHW makes you lose A LOT of credibility.

The HW division is really starting to look promising, regardless of some naysayers.

does anyone else think that maybe lorenzo is the real brains behind ufc and dana white is just more or less the mouthpiece and hype man? who is this mysterious man?
I was under the impression that Lorenzo and his brother were the owners of the organization and they allow Dana White to run it.They have the money,he has the know how,it's no big deal.

its just odd that you never see who lorenzo is. as for my light-heavy list, i don't know what i was saying. I admit that was pretty out there.

They are usually seen amongst the audience at the big shows and sometimes they actually enter the octagon after a fight.

I just don't think the heavweight cards have been very interesting as of late, and i am disappointed that this fight is going to be even longer of a wait. Injured is one thing, but sickness...... i bet that lots of guys train through sickness and you never even hear about it. I am being very critical too b/c dana white continuously is hyping the heavyweights and saying that it is more exciting than ever. And then he hypes guys like kimbo slice, who has only become more boring as time goes by.
I agree 100% that the heavyweight division is dissapointing. The last fight between cain velasquez and rothwell was really really lame. There have been a rash of boring fighters getting really hyped.
