get a small tank 10g or less your choice ,


put an inch of soil in the bottom gravel over the top , gather plants ,put a florecent strip over it and fill it with water from local ponds and rivers ,no heater no filter and you get to see all the cool little beasties , in a few weeks you get a tiny little eco system going for a few dollars :naughty:

i really like flame scallops and feathers dusters.

I third the Mantis' and Octopus. I had a small (2" dia.) Octopus in a seperate container in a reef tank. It was awesome watching him eat Ghost Shrimp. I never had a Mantis, but a friend of mine has one in a 12 gal.Nano and it is rad.
