for the 125 and 55g a python is a must here. I still use bucket and gravel vac for the smaller tanks. if i just want to refill the tanks with water and not gravel vac i would use a hose.

OHH i think i get it now u dont want it to use the sink or hose nozzle u want it to just suck using the powerhead...that it?

Yeah, the sink uses too much water. My water bill almost doubled when I started using it.

I want a powerhead/pump with an inlet and outlet for my python hoses so I can still use the gravel vac. Make sense?

I love my python, I just drain the water out the window, or door, And use the sink to fill the tanks back up. Seems pretty efficient in my case.

i use a mag 5 on a garden hose for the draining and a python for the filling.

I use a standard gravel vac to clean the gravel, then I have a quietone 1200 pump that I attch to a garden hose and I use that to pump the rest of the water out, the use my hose to refill.

i once had a little blue that i got for .50 somehwere and it was like this double ended thing where u can connect and extend a gravel vac too and then i just bought inch thick tubing and attached it to the other end so i was able to use the gravel vac suction and the water just went through both the siphon and the tubing extension and to the sink.

I use a garden hose submersible pump to pump water into my backyard. For refilling i put a pex water line piped into my tank, all i do it turn a ball valve on and i have warm water. If i vac the gravel i just use a gravel vac and bucket
