Most overrated bands?

anything American, I'm sorry but any metal music from America is just generic and ****ty. the only good bands are from Europe. (which also include the 1980s band Europe)

before I get flamed may I add that America had AMAZING music in the 80s. then suddenly everything now is either that generic american metal sound (dreamtheatre included) or club music remixes.

Its official. You just beat out bottom for worst taste in music. There are huge amounts of skilled groups from america.

Name me these skilled groups from America? the only half decent groups from America are from the pre 90s period as I already said. all modern American bands are obsessed with sounding gritty and having generic untalented vocalists (dream theatre anyone?)
the only modern American band with decent vocals is Journey and their singer is from the Philippines which says it all for American vocal talent. (and yes I do know journey were around in the 80s and they were very very good until steve perry left)

Modern music, Blues hardly counts as modern.

i feel bad for Lepisosteus platyrhincus, growing up in America probably cause irreparable damage to his music taste, He doesn't know any better so its more of a case of feeling sorry for him than actually believing what he has to say.

Nice try. Journey, drowning pool(original singer, RIP), slip knot, theory of a dead man, 5 finger death punch, flogging molly, aaron lewis(and staind obviously) everlast, sublime, jimmy buffet, hollywood undead, korn, shinedown, the offspring, system of a down and many MANY others including some I dont like but admit highly talented. American music is FAR from all bad. Saying all american is bad is a grossly ignorant statement.
