hey guys.. im going though sort of a stressful situation and i was wondering what fish would be, in your opinion, the most peaceful looking? a shoaling fish would be good but a well put together community would work also.. appropriate tank sizes would be appreciated too with your suggestions.. i have a couple tanks to work with

In my opinion, a fish with personality would help ease stress better. It makes me feel better when i see my fish recognize me, and look happy to see me.

yea ive had a couple oscar fish before and they were great.. but i was thinking like an angle fish tank or silver dollars or something.. but i have no idea what its like too keep either one of those

What size tanks are we talking?

I personally find schools of cardinal tetras to be very relaxing.

for me most any well kept fish tank is relaxing.

I have both. Sliver dollars are pretty cool, but they are more constantly on the move doing something. My angelfish is second to my Midas in the personality department. She hangs out on whatever side of the tank i'm at. Pretty peacful fish that recognizes its owner. The more time you spend with them, the less skittish they are too......very cool fish

For peaceful.. I think graceful, pretty, and just all out a chill fish..

I would go with some Frontosa, providing you have a big enough tank.

I agree with above Angel Fish or Discus are the most relaxing if you are able to keep them properly

well ive got a 125g that im currently trying to re-arrange the inhabitants of.. i have a rtc and a tsn that i was planning on sticking into a pond thats in my backyard once they outgrew it but its more of a natural pond and once they go in ill never see then again.. so rather then grow them out to loose them if i can find someone who will enjoy them then great but once i find suitable homes for the two, or if i cant ill just wait it out, but ill probably look into one of these, which would you guys prefer for a 125? its either going to be a nice zen peaceful calm tank or in going to stock it full of piranhas.. any opinions on what would be more interesting? the catfish are kinda boring, all they do is hide all day and come out to eat only if its dark.. and im loosing inhabitants by the day but if i ended up with some red bellies id probably just put some driftwood so they could hide but it wouldn't be real comfortable for them to do so, maybe some manzanita. and i realize they aren't the killing machines they've been made out to be but that not really what im looking for
