I like a nice school of congo tetra. Their the best looking tetra IMO

I can hand feed my Frontosas. They are very personable, and calm elegant fish. In a 125 you can get away with some small ones for quite some time.

I also find that Eartheaters are also very peaceful, and calm. I don't find them to be too personable though.

frontosas are cool, im digging the big hump on their heads.. its going to be tough to find some for me thou short of ordering them online, how prolific of breeders are they?

They don't breed until they are mature, and that means 8"+. I've got a colony of 17, most of them 8"+.. 3 @ 14", and I JUST had a female lay eggs.. but she ate them. You have to strip and tumble the eggs most times.

A 125 will not house a frontosa for life.

ahh gotcha.. i guess im looking for something else then.. i hate to raise something just to see it unhappy in a tank thats too small

thats some sort of sunfish in your avatar right? the body looks real short on it, looks like it would be a great fish to see swimming

It's a short body Carpintis. :)

I found 2-3 black moor or lion head gold fish to be good stress relievers in the past. They swim all over the tank, and couldn't care who's watching them. But they grow big and fat, and produce a ton of waste, and do best in a larger tank...I say a 55 gal is ideal.
