most peaceful looking fish

A sillly question probably, but do frontosa need to be kept in large groups, or can they be kept singly?

Frontosa CAN be kept singly, but they depend on their colony to feel safe, and interact. They are colonizing fish, and I have found do best in groups of 5+.

I would not keep one singly. It would stress, and most likely die.

hah yea great point, any more pics or info on the carprintis?

Here's some more pics. I do believe they are real SB carpintis, and not mixed with parrot.

I moved them to my 240 last night to grow them a bit, but my juranese cat decided he wanted a snack.. thank god I caught it and saved the fish.. so they all got moved back. haha.

arowanas are awesome.. i hadn't even thought of them.. how big of a tank do they need? i think aquascape has some small ones.. at least they used to... any rules of stocking tank mates?

For silver or black aros a 6x2x2 180g tank will last a couple years. Eventually though you will need something around a 96x2.5x2 300g tank.

A jardini may be able to live out it's life in a 180g tank.
