wad about two fluval fx 5s and one magnum 350 pro.Well.................on my 125 gal I run 2 Rena xp 3's and an eheim 2028!!!!
you've got over double the gallons as i do , I would do two fluval fx 5s and one of the the monster eheim pro 3's for superior bio filtration.....................and a couple seio powerheads

yea,....i like that idea.....keep in mind this is all for two large fish in the tank.becuase i plan on getting a male for my female and introduce them both in the 265.one of the fx5s are for a 400 gallon aquarium.so if i have two of those and a magnum 350 pro in the middle i should be alrite?

oh O.K............forgot you were going for a breeding pair.................but get a emp 400 or an ac110 for the middle..........it's just that i've never relly heard raving reviews for the magnum 350 pro...........(leaks, etc.....).........Good luck bro, and post pics of the big tank when all set up pls!!!

I'm running several FX5s. I tried the XP4 but, just use it as a flower pot now (P.O.S). The FX5s are pretty powerful. But, I have one that's a bit more powerful even though it's certainly not the biggest out there. This one is a hair over 320 gallons (not counting the 10ft protein skimmer and 300gal pre-filter). It cycles 90gals per minute on 3 large Dolphin pumps (2 running/1 backup). The inlet and outlet are 4.5".
