screw getting 2 filters, just get one Ocean clear canister, you can get alot of gph compared to them fluvals and other crap out there.

But you still have to turn it off to clean the filters. That's why it's good to have 2 or more filters running the tank. You always need a little dirt for bio reasons.

you may want tothink about inline filters like ocean clear. I personaly like these filters more then normal canisters or wet dry's but thats just me.

me too, to clean it, you attach a hose right to the filter, then put it in backup mode, then you can run the hose outside, in a tub or something, and you can keep adding filters to the system!
