your "male" looks like a friedrichsthalii to me...although I havent had one in a while and Im not able to look on google to be 100% sure.
Female def. looks RTM and male does in some pics but then he looks like a regular gold in a couple pics?

Heres some older pics of him.
i had those RTM's just like yours. They looked exactly like those. When they started to breed (at 3 inches) they started turning bright orange. it was bad ass! im looking for a pair again. they would always fight with my festae and the festate was twice its size. but since they were breeding, the RTM's never backed down to protect their fry.
