Here is my EMPTY stingray tank. My motoro should be coming in within the next week or two. Captive Bred and eating frozen. Should make a good first ray lol Here are pics of my tank... I have aroud 200 gallons of filtration and all my heaters are covered with my Vacuum attachment idea. Open to suggestions. Thanks

Its a 125 growout... Its i think 18" wide. But its estes blue sand i put in to give the white sand some color

Yeah and i have considered looking for larger but these are rated for over 100 gallons each and seem to clean up everything and i used to use them for piranhas(Lots of waste)

I have young Motoro in a 125. I've will have had them 4 months tomorrow and they've outgrown it, they're moving to an 8'x3' tank this week.

Did you get the rays as pups? If so, how big are they now? Just curious on the growth rate. Thanks!

You will be fine with that tank for 6 months to a year. As long as you do not clean your bio media in your HOB's you will be fine and do heavy waterchanges...

I usually keep motoro pups in a 55 gallon after birth with HOB and have no problems what so ever.

I have a friend that has one of my female motoro pups in a 100 gallon 18" wide and she is a year and 4 moths old, in the same tank he has 3 hystrix that are 7-8" and his are healthy and showing signs of breeding.

So in a perfect world if you do everything right you should be fine with that size tank for a short while.

the above tank looks like a 55 gallon have you measured it?

Yes, got them as pups originally 4-5" and now the biggest is at least 7.5" across (will try to get a measurement when I move them).
