I have shutoff valve on the end of my hose so that when I'm done I just shut of the water and store the hose still primed, next time I empty the tank I put one end back in the tank and open up the other end and it's instantly siphoning water.
Mouth full of tank water....

Mine was $33(shipping included) off amazon. Best $30 I've ever spent. Its easier to just get something that's already all together. I'm lazy, so I went the lazy way
Got you all beat, I think! I got a turkey baster, take the rubber 'bulb' part off. Cut hole at top of the bulb so it's a bit smaller than your hose. Use black electrical tape from the $1 store and secure hoses at each end of bulb. *The black electrical tape works extremely well, even when it's wet! Then just to make double sure of no leaks, I put duct tape over the electrical tape. Works great! Want me to post step by step pix? It's super easy to use.

Idk, it really doesn't bother me.. I just think it's funny.. My water never gets that dirty (like in the vid) so a little poopy never hurt anyone.. right?!! hahha!!!
