Mouth full of tank water....

you guys know you can just stick a couple of foot of hose into the tank, kink the hose and pull it out to were the water in th hose is below the tank waterline. Release the kink and viola

like Brian said, you don't have to suck till the water comes out, you only need to get the water over the top of the tank and gravity does the rest. clear hoses are great.. but even with the black hose i just suck once, and then feel for pressure coming out of the hose..
and with my freshly made boom stick, i don't have to do that much.. just fill the hose with water, shut off the ball valve, put it in the tank, disconnect the hose from the faucet and open the ball valve.

Nah, I don't mind.. but, I would shorten it like someone else suggested...

ok i shortened it. had to leave the "gets in my mouth" part though lol just kinda adds to the oh so important "WTF Factor" of the whole thing
you know that if you take the siphon (i know this will sound bad but) Jerk it at the top of the water. Up and down a few time that with get the water running for you. I got tired of water getting in my mouth and then found that out haha.
But now i got the one that hooks up to the sink. Just turn water on and it sucks the water for ya.

Well that's the thing, I don't use a syphon.. I just place the hose in and put the glass lid down to hold it.. and that's where the sucking comes into play.. I like being able to use the small tip of the hose to suck up just the poop, and not all the sand...
I know this isn't about a mouth full of dirty tank water, even though it's happened to me a bunch of times. It usually happens when you suck on one end and it isn't enough to draw the water out, so you take a big suck and get a mouth full of dirty water. However, the worst thing that has happened to me was getting a mouth full of gas. I was donating our mini-van because it just cost too much to fix but I had filled it up with a full tank of gas. I decided, since gas is so expensive now, that I would siphon the gas out into a can. Well, at least you can see the water going thru the hose but you can't when you siphon a gas tank. I swallowed a mouth full of gas and I felt high for the rest of the day. Really nasty, The Doctor
