sorry i was referring to the gar channa. its porbably going to be an afro, clown knife, and then whatever gar, i think shortnose is the only kind that would fit well into that tank, since it is only 3 feet wide.

dont do shortnose.
fl/spotted gars and trops only get around 2 feet.
best suited for the tank.
and easier to care for than shortnose.
i hate to tell you this, but i think i might get some spotted gar lol. so about 2 spotted 2 florida? i like the looks of both of them.

its almost impossible to tell the difference between the two by looking at them.
they are basically the same.

i would probably do like two fx5's, or find some sort of wet/dry system to use. but overstocked id probably do five. i know your really pushin for me to get an african aro and i really want to get one too, but does it sound like a bad idea to you? i would have to do some research with the lfs that i get him from on the size of gar and knifefish and afro sold there, so they would be about the same size when they all went in, would it be safe to do that?

shouldnt be a problem if theyre all around the same size.
i have that combo in my tank right now.
one african aro,one CK,and 5 gars.
as well as some other fish.
two fx5s should be enough,but im no expert when it comes to filters.
yeah the one afro, 5 gar setup with a CK, thatd probably be all the fish id put in there. sounds like a good setup.
