Different results:

350g: 7.8pH, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 30 Nitrate

480g: 7.8pH, .25 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 10 Nitrate

375g: 7.8pH, .25-.5 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, 40-80 Nitrate.

110g: 7.8pH, <.25 Ammonia, 0 nitrite, 20 Nitrate

The 375g did have a heavy feeding this morning. I think I am going to add another .5gph to the drip so it has 1.5gph

$700 for a filter that didn't work? Whew! Is it safe to assume they told you it would work, it didn't, and they took back? I had a kind of tough time making any sense of thier (Pelican) claims regarding a salt free water softener. Got frustrated with the answers I was getting and gave up.

Curious why not just go with one of "the filter guys" chloramine filters from the get go? I know there's several people using these filters for drip systems where chloramines are being used and they seem to work fine for them. Was it anything to do with cost of carbon?

Are you guys stocked pretty light? Drip numbers seem kind of low........

I spoke to the filterguys and they pretty much talked me out of it. You might be confusing chloramine with chlorine. Chloramine is much more difficult to remove and exhausts carbon really fast. The filter I have is a combination of kdf and carbon. Even with the filter, the water has >.25ppm ammonia in it. However, the filters have been removing it pretty well and my nitrates are consistently a lot lower than with weekly water changes.

my stocking is probably on the heavier average side. The tanks aren't crammed with fish but the fish I have can make a mess

O, and pelican refunded my money, without a problem.

I'm assuming you have the same water as myself.... With in the next 8 months, it will be chloramine.

Yep. LA water sucks and I'm close to the pumping station. I will be testing often and using the thread to keep my records. The filter media should last about 2 years before needing replacement.

DAYUM! 2 years. Are you using it for drinking water also?

Yep, its a whole house water system. The only part of the house that doesn't get filtered water is the sprinkler system and garden hose
