Mummifying My Cray (Directions & pics)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thank u all for the positive reply's, I appreciate them, I am glad u like the way it came out :D

Alex,

As long as u defrost fully it will work no matter how long they been frozen. The only thing is u might have got frezzer burn witch can cause the shell to crack or weaken. Just be very careful when positioning it.

As for the broken claws, u can mummify em separately like u said and then super-glue, or Hot-glue gun them back on once the process is complete.

Let us see how they come out when and if u decided to do it :)

cheers,

the last pic was a caribe.

I am surprised it only took a month, do you leave fish in for a longer period of time?

That's the beauty of the ingredient (forget the name) in baking soda. Its sole purpose is to absorb moisture and odor, And it does it relatively quick. It took the same amount of time for all 3, But i would assume a "Monster Sized fish" would take a bit longer, due to having way more water to retain.

If anyone try's it out pls let us know the time it takes on bigger specimens for record purpose's.

Wow that came out awesome... will it remain like that forever??!:drool:
