Yes I sealed it with Varnish (3 coats) and made the eyes black again with permanent marker. U might have to touch up some of the blue if u loose color before u coat it cause it already looks like the color on the sides of the shells is discolored.

Joex, u said u use a similar method? I would love to hear what is working for u and how it differs for big fish :)

I do pretty much the same thing, but use a touch of marine salt. So some reason it seems to keep the color better in certain fish. For larger fish you usually want to gut them, and stuff the cavity with more baking soda, or it will take forever to get done, and possibly rot. :)
The only trick is taking it out at the perfect time to empty the baking soda out, but still have it flexible enough to sew up.
If that is done right the stitch marks are pretty unnoticeable.

Yes that makes perfect sense, the Egyptians used to remove organs as-well. they did this by incision as u stated, and also by picking them out with hooks (like the brain through the nose ) :naughty:

Almost time!

Great job! Might have to do this with my freezer collection, lol.

I've thought long and hard about this and i've come to the conclusion that i'll personally cremate my oscars and spread their ash @ my fav camping site!!!

Tell me what type of Curable polymers i need and i will give it a go, seems pretty simple. (More specifically, which product/brand and whats it generally used for so i can find it) silicone, epoxy and polyester-copolymer.

Cheers.
