my 11" red belly pacu

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
zoo, i know you got a lot of people telling you that you are dumb, just remember the pond idea that i told you about! you can do it, and with minimal cost to you! It probably cost you more money to set up each of the 6 tanks than it costs to make your own pond big enough imo for him! Start checkiing out the indoor pond section to get some ideas you will be amazed at what you can do for very little money! I got my pacu in a 30 gal right now, but soon he will move to 100 gal pond, and then to 350 gal pond, then 750 gal pond, and who knows eventually! Just keep your fish' best interests at heart and get started on that first pond! that thing is gonna give you the time and money you need to make a bigger one! To everyone else I think most of us were in his shoes at one time or another. Anyone in here can properly house almost any freshwater fish they want to with very little expense comparitively if they get innovative and put their minds to it! So judge less and help more!

very well said.

hehehe im just gonna tease you man.

you have to move it to a bigger tank bro..

looks whos talking.!!! hehhe

you got 4 8"pacus on a 75 gal. you really got to dispose that man if you do not have a big tank.

peace!!

:WHOA:

hahaha! i know i know..

i guess I get a lil tired of hearing everyone say there's no way anyone can keep this or that fish in captivity, when you know good and well that with what we know now and this forum to guide people in the right direction, who knows what kind of monsters people like you or me or zooyork could be keeping in ten or twenty years from now! hell, we might need to look at mfk to restock the planet! lol!

I am sure you can figure a way to take care of your fish, those ponds are good ideas! I am dying to get a house so I can bust one of those out! I am glad certain fish are easily availible, but I think pacus are one of the most abused fish, :( I really wish stores like Wal-mart etc. would stop selling fish like these! :swear: They should be labeled, " FOR MFK USE ONLY !":grinyes: If you do get the ponds going that will be sweet!!! :headbang2 And for the record the pacu looks like you are taking good care of it so far! :clap

how about an LFS selling this type of fish but it has a tag that reads

"MINIMUM TANK SIZE"

so that a buyer would know what size of tank the fish is compatible with.

educating the buyer and also the seller....
