My 125g Stand and Canopy

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks! We only had one bad cut on the molding. It was a side piece, so it was an easy fix. If I would have taken my time, my buddy and I could have went nuts with making our own trim and such. He's an amazing wood worker. I'm just more of a design kind of guy. That lid was fun to make. We got creative ;) and decided to mitre the entire lid. Three passes on the table saw and it fits like a glove. We should be finishing it all up tomorrow. The doors are pretty much done, so it will be a lot of prep work before we spray it. We didn't finish the inner supports to the canopy yet because we want to test fit it and find out the exact allowances for the bracing.

Put in a long day today on sanding and staining. I didn't take pictures after I wiped it, because I didn't want to ruin the surprise of what's to come. ;)

Thanks. All the staining is done, but I decided not to take any pictures afterward. It looks nothing like that after I wiped it down. Don't get me wrong, it's dark, but there's a lot of high and low lights now.

Great work man! I'm in the process of building a stand for my 135--wothout all the crown moulding and lumber prices are kicking my butt! Lol. It's looking good, keep us up to date with the finished product!

Yeah...I over did the trim a bit. Once it's all done, I'll give the final prices for everything...I won't show that number to the wife though. ;)

Forgot to ask...Did anyone else install leveling feet on their builds? I used 8...One on each vertical post. They cost a fortune too.
