My 125g Stand and Canopy

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I finally sat down with all the receipts...Considering I had to buy more finishing stuff than I should have, I didn't do too bad. The total came to $335. If I would have taken more time on it, I could have probably done a bit better on costs. On the plus side, this project has sparked my interest enough to try making a hobby/business out of it while I'm going to school. A few of the local shops said they'd put the word out and may have me do some builds through them. I'm not counting on it to make me rich, so it should be a lot of fun. :)

You guys did some beautiful work on that stand and canopy. I would let you do a stand for me If I had the money. Tank looks awesome as well what are you going to be stocking the tank with

Thanks for the compliments. It'll be a Black Ghost Knife, a Striped Raphael Catfish, a Jaguar Synodontis, a Blue Phantom Pleco, and a group of Silver Dollars. It's kind of cheesy, but I love these fish. :D

Thanks. Upon further research, as well as my wife's input, we've decided to nix the Silver Dollars. We're going to get a group of Marble and Koi Angelfish instead. I just want some cool looking fish for my tank, nothing truly monstrous. Her 44g corner tank will house a couple discus though!

My family and the fish can't wait either. If my shipment from Big Al's would get here, I could have it going...But I'm waiting on Prime and Stability. The 44g should be up and going in a couple weeks. I still need sand, filters, and a heater. My daughter will love to have her tank returned to her Spongebob decor. I had to take it all out for faux logs...Then I have to get going on my 55. :D

Here's the 44g since I resealed the tank, painted the stand, and she decorated it. It's not how I would have done it, aside from the driftwood, but she loves it.
