Did you get the Quick Disconnect fittings with that Eheim 2217? If not, I would definitely recommend getting them as it's much easier to service the filter during maintenance.

EDIT: Damn, posted while I was typing. Interesting dimensions... Btw great clean up job. Looks nice. I like how you kept it very simple with just one large decoration and sand. My tank is super simple like that too. Just 1 large piece of slate and two pots. This is on a second floor? I always get worried while setting up new aquariums in my second story apartment.
dimensions=dims ....btw man i just got a 150, and i live right down the road from you, what do you plan to stock yours with? and will that eheim and the biowheels be able to filter everything efficiently? or is it just the eheim?
