Good thinking on the guppies!

Add some Bacteria to the water( i use API stress zyme+) and it will speed up your cycle so you dont have to be waiting for 4 weeks to add a fish as some people do on here :)
 
Home depot is the place to go to IMO. Many things that LFS's have way overpriced you can find at Home Depot/Lowes for much cheaper... Just today i bought around 30-40 pounds of stackable rocks from home depot and it came out to around 20 dollars... at my LFS it would have been over 45!
 
yeah Im really good at cleaning howver the glass lids are bugging me because theyre the only things I could get clean :(
 
im prolly going to put my tiger barbs in there tonight too just for the heck of it.

Did the tank have any hard water marks? If so how did you clean them...

I have a small tank that has some water marks that just wont come off, although i havent tried the razor yet.
 
If the lids bother you that much you could temporarily use some egg crate and buy new ones in the future. I just had to cut me two egg crate lids for my 90 gallon I picked up today to move my bully JD into. 12.00 lid can't go wrong.
 
nvm lol I suck at catching my damn fish haha... I gave up Im about to go get a piece of fishing line and a tiny hook and go fishing for them that way.. j.k. although itd prolly work.. Im just going to run to pet supplies plus since its right down the road and stop and get a cuple cheap fish to put in there first thing when I wake up since I have to go to the doctors, I had really bad heart pains earlier this morning at work, and that so hopefully all goes well and there not going to tell me Im gunna die becuz that would royally suck donkey nuts.. :(

uhm kinda, between that salt build up and algae I didnt really pay attention. i just used hot water and simple green and it scrubbed everything with a brush that you would use to clean your tires at home with. or to scrub your tub or something

I got the glass lids for my 55g however they didnt fit and I tried cutting them and would up cracking them so Im just going to put up with it till im out of school and have time to actually give them a thourough scrubn
